Kids Garage Sale Minnesota –

One Sunday afternoon May 6th my family and I went to meet some of my Dad’s-Baba’s-friends. We were meeting up with them so we could run a garage sale. All of the funds that we made that day went to disabled kids in Nepal, to help them get wheelchairs. Plus all the stuff we didn’t sell went to the Salvation Army.

I had alot of fun helping the customers with their shopping. We sold many items and made total amount of $125 of money. I’m very surprised though that nobody bought the Band Hero, we priced it for $25! We had alot of baby items though and didn’t sell much of it. Also I saw a older woman look at one of the items and thought she stole it. I told the boy next to me and he told his mom, I felt really stupid I didn’t stop her, but later we figured out that the lady didn’t steal the thing just misplaced it!

I thought the idea of a kids garage sale was wonderful. I mean it teaches the kids responsiblity, how to bargain, how to do a job and have fun while doing it. Plus it was going for a great cause too. I liked it!After the garage sale we went to Baba’s friends house and had momo-a Nepalese dumpling- it was super good!
